Howdy folks!



My name is Jared. I’m 35 years old and currently living in Lyons, Colorado. I have been here for 4 years, 3 of which I worked/lived on the same ranch/farm. The farm consisted of 20 horses, mainly draft crosses and quarter horses, as well as 100 acres of alfalfa hay.



I have a diverse skill set and professional background, to include;



10 years of service as a Marine Corps Special Forces Operator.



5 years of experience packing mules in remote environments: The Eastern Sierra, Arizona, New Mexico, and Western Colorado.



A lifetime of experience maintaining facilities/equipment and working in various aspects on farms and ranches, both agricultural and animal centric.



I can effectively, safely, and proficiently handle stock to include horses, mules, etc. while I don’t have a lifetime of riding experience, I can ride. I do not have experience on green horses or young/untrained animals, but most certainly have a learning/“go for it” attitude.



I can drive truck, stock trailers, operate a diverse set of equipment to include tractors/attachments. If it is a piece of equipment I haven’t operated previously, I have the skill set and comfortability to learn quickly.



I have a professional mechanical/maintenance skillset to include equipment/vehicle maintenance and repair, welding, structural repair, fencing, building repair and maintenance, etc.



I’m an all-around hand that is respectful and professional, and am looking for my next long-term employment/working opportunity! I would love to find a place that values my contribution and provides me with more than a paycheck!



I’m looking for a starting salary to fall in the 3,000 a month range, plus housing!



I’m single and stable. I have a very well trained 4 year old cattle dog named Newman who would come along!
